Quick Correct menu

You can use the Quick Correct menu to reduce the number of false error messages or correct multiple mistakes.

The Quick Correct menu is available for the following error types:

Forgotten translations

For both the forgotten and partially forgotten translations, the Quick Correct menu gives you the following options:

  • Add text to the Untranslatables list for all languages

  • Add text to the Untranslatables list for the current language

After you have added the text to the Untranslatables list, it no longer generates errors on forgotten or partially forgotten translations. You can access and modify the Untranslatables list for all languages via Settings > QA settings > Omissions > Advanced. The Untranslatables list per language can be accessed via Settings > Language settings > Untranslatables.

Corrupt character

The Quick Correct menu enables you to allow the character for the target language as one of the following:
  • symbol
  • punctuation
  • alphabet
  • extra alphanumeric
  • whitespace
You can access the list of allowed characters via Settings > Language settings > Allowed characters.
Note: The category you choose is important, because if you choose punctuation for example, the character will be taken into account for the Consecutive punctuation mark check.

Terminology

The Quick Correct menu takes you directly to the relevant dictionary entry, where you can correct it.

Quotation marks

The Quick Correct menu takes you to the Batch replacement mode, where you can replace wrong quotation marks. You can select multiple errors in the main grid with Ctrl or SHIFT+Click and correct all the selected segments in one go.

QA Distiller allows the replacement of all instances of one type of quotation mark by another.

Note: You can only replace quotation marks in batch if the file has not been modified yet.

Number formatting

The Quick Correct menu takes you to the Batch replacement mode, where you can replace numbers that are wrongly formatted. You can select multiple errors in the main grid with Ctrl or SHIFT+Click and batch correct all selected segments in one go.
Note: You can only replace number formatting mistakes in batch if the file has not been modified yet.
