Running a search: example

During a localisation project, the name of the Abort button has changed to Cancel. With QA Distiller, you can perform a global search for the rejected source term Abort in all the files that you process.

  1. Click Settings > Search settings.
  2. Select the Search check box.
  3. Select the Source check box.
  4. In the Source section, click the Show/Edit button.
  5. Add the term Abort and, if you want, add a comment.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Load the files that you want to process.
  8. Process the files.
All the translation units that contain the word Abort in the source segment now appear in the error list.

  9. Make the appropriate changes.
