Creating an XLIFF file with OpenOffice Calc

If your translations are stored in a two-column file, you can open that file in OpenOffice Calc to create an XLIFF file.

Make sure you have installed the ODStoXLF filter package.
  1. Open your 2-column Calc file.
  2. The first row should contain the source and target language codes
  3. Click File > Export.
  4. In the Export dialog box, select XLF - XML Localization Interchange File Format in the Save as type field.
  5. Select the Automatic file name extension check box.
  6. Click Save.
