QA settings: inconsistencies

In this tab, you can select the checks that you want QA Distiller to perform to find inconsistencies.

By default, QA Distiller checks for inconsistencies between all files with the same language combination.
Note: Inconsistencies between ignored segments and non-ignored segments will be reported; inconsistencies between ignored segments will not be reported.

Target language inconsistencies

QA Distiller checks if different translations are used for the same source segment. A unique reference number and the match rate are added for reference.

Source language inconsistencies

Select this option if you want to check whether identical translations are used for different source segments.

Ignore case

By default, differences in case generate an inconsistency error. When Ignore case is selected, QA Distiller ignores the case in both source and target segments.

Ignore tags

By default, differences in tags generate an inconsistency error. When Ignore tags is selected, QA Distiller ignores the tags in both source and target segments.

Ignore inconsistencies between different files

By default, QA Distiller checks for inconsistencies between all files with the same language combination. When Ignore inconsistencies between different files is selected, QA Distiller only checks for inconsistencies within the different files.

Note: XLIFF files can contain multiple file elements, but one XLIFF file is always considered as one file for this option.

Ignore inconsistencies with ignored units

Select this option to disable the comparison with ignored units when checking for inconsistencies.
