About dictionaries

Dictionaries are used by QA Distiller to check for terminology mistakes.

QA Distiller supports the following dictionary formats:

QA Distiller DICT files created from MS Excel (*.dict)
TBX files (*.tbx, *.xml)

QA Distiller has a built-in tool to create proprietary dictionaries from Microsoft Excel. These dictionary files have the extension *.dict and can be easily created by starting from a two-column list in Excel.

If you use SDL MultiTerm 2009 or higher, you can directly export your terminology to a TBX file.
